Why Buy Used ...............................?
It can be a good idea if your supplier can guarantee that what you are buying is 100% correct to specification.
How many times have you modified your own guitar...................Now you're getting the idea !
On Used guitars we can't guarantee the original specification has been fully retained, simply because we can't possibly know the entire history of a used guitar.
Many people modify their guitars, sometimes for the better and often, before a trade-in, for the worse!
Any seller who claims to know the full history of a Used guitar may not be being entirely truthful with you.
We check all used guitars very carefully but cannot guarantee they are in 100% original condition,nobody actually can. We do guarantee that we bought them because they were really great players and sounded brilliant which is of course on a used guitar is more important than anything else.
Bass Guitars
Recently read some rubbish on a sellers web site claiming that New Fender Japan guitars/basses were' unsanctioned and unsupported' and other complete twaddle!
The same seller, who used to sell New Fender Japan guitar, of course, is happy to sell you the very same product, now only as a Used Model, somehow between being "new" then "used" the guitar has suddenly become 'sanctioned and supported ' .......... Yes! of course it's completely bonkers, but it's an interesting sales pitch
!
Bottom line: There is no manufacturers warranty available with any Fender Japan guitar purchased outwith Japan, either new or used, no matter who supplys it for you. You can therefore guarantee there is even less available with "Used" models!
You need to depend on your supplier to rectify any defects in your purchase, so choosing your supplier carefully is really important.

We also maintain a full-time luthier on-staff to provide an excellent technical support and backup service for all our customers whether they have bought a new or a used guitar or bass. Before buying you need to check you are buying from a bona-fide business not just from a 'guy with a day-job, selling guitars for a hobby'. Hobby sellers always move on to the "next big thing" they think will make money, such as only selling Used guitars, or sellng any guitars they can find, or making guitars from ebay parts and selling them on. MIJFenders, is a bona-fide, business seller offering professional products and services.
Overall you will be very hard pushed to find a bad new Crafted in Japan guitar or bass whether it's an entry level
or the top of the range model, but the same just can't be said for all sellers of these fine instruments!
RB-Products
The RBTC and RBTB are selling better than ever and delivering great tone. We've added Picato Strings to the list of RB products. The RB77 set is as used by Ritchie Blackmore and these strings are really fantastic. They are a mixture of gauges and not really 10's at all, and they sound amazing. The mix gives a really nice tension with the strings feeling silky smooth and very easy to bend. Absolutely no wonder Ritchie Blackmore uses these on his Strat and always has.
